TAX

All parcels are to be declared through Royal Brunei Customs’ Brunei Darussalam National Single Window portal. It is important that you provide us with all the information needed through the Order Form. Do note that there are certain category of items that are subjected to Brunei Customs’ Duty tax or Excise Duty Tax, payment will be required when the tax amount is determined.

PERMIT

Royal Brunei Customs has enforced permits to be applied for all make up, skincare, hair care products, perfume/fragrances, essential oils, supplements and books regardless of quantity. Electronic items that utilises or requires Bluetooth, Wifi or any radio frequencies are required to have an approved AITI approval prior to the parcel being declared to be brought through to Brunei Darussalam. For permit application services through bwnexpress.com, payments are required in order for the permit/s being applied. Food items are not to be brought through using bwnexpress.com unless a permit has already been gained by a customer.

Dangerous Items

Including certain types of aerosols gases, pressurised containers, corrosives, explosives, flammable solids, radioactive materials, oxidising substances, organic peroxides solids and flammable chemicals.

Drug

Cocaine, cannabis resin, LSD, narcotics, morphine, opium, psychotropic substances, etc.

Animals

Live or dead animals, insects, reptiles of any kind, animal products, animal skins, meat and fur including hair products and pet supplements.

Tobacco

Cigarettes, cigars, electronic cigarettes and accessories, tobacco, hookah and hookah accessories.

Fake Games

Toy weapons, paintball guns, BB guns, antique weapons, swords, knives, fake grenades, handcuffs, items that could be used as weapons, etc.

Plants

Plants and plant materials including seeds and cut flowers.

Perishables

Foodstuffs, food articles and beverages requiring refrigeration or other environmental control. Meat products that contains chicken, beef, duck, pork and others are not permitted to be brought through

Pornography and indecent items or peripherals

Foul materials, pornography and/or obscene material, any unsolicited indecent item or representation of any kind.

Sharp Tools or Weapons

Scissors, knives, cartridges, guns and gun accessories, slingshots, stun gun, pepper spray. Bows and arrows for recreational use are also not permitted to be brought through.

Toys

Drones, quadcopters, robots, and slime.

Liquids

Liquids in large quantities nail polish, paint and ink.
